Description
Concor 5 mg is a film-coated tablet containing bisoprolol fumarate, a selective beta1-blocker. It is used to treat high blood pressure (arterial hypertension), to prevent angina attacks and in chronic heart failure.
Composition:
Each film-coated tablet contains:
- Bisoprolol fumarate 5 mg
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide.
Properties:
Bisoprolol is a selective beta1-blocker without intrinsic sympathomimetic activity and without membrane-stabilizing activity. It lowers plasma renin activity, reduces the heart's oxygen demand, slows the heart rate at rest and during exertion, and reduces cardiac output without a significant fall in stroke volume. It slows AV conduction. It has antianginal and blood-pressure-lowering effects. At high doses (200 mg and more) it can also block beta2-receptors, mainly in the bronchi and vascular smooth muscle.
Indications:
- Arterial hypertension
- Prevention of angina attacks
- Chronic heart failure
Storage:
Store at a temperature not higher than 30 °C, in a dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
Packaging:
Cardboard box containing 30 film-coated tablets in 3 blisters of 10 tablets, with a paper leaflet.
