Mixderm cream

Mixderm cream is a combined preparation for external use. It contains betamethasone, gentamicin, tolnaftate and clioquinol, and is used for dermatoses complicated by infection, such as dermatitis, eczema and neurodermatitis, and for fungal skin infections, especially in the groin and skin folds.

Composition:

Each gram of cream contains:

• Betamethasone 0.5 mg
• Gentamicin 0.1 mg
• Tolnaftate 10 mg
• Clioquinol 10 mg

Auxiliary components: chlorocresol, Texofor, cetostearyl alcohol, petrolatum, sodium biphosphate, mineral oil, sodium hydroxide and purified water.

Properties:

Combined preparation for external use.

Betamethasone dipropionate, a corticosteroid, gives anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antiallergic and antiexudative effects.

Tolnaftate has antifungal activity.

Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic with a bactericidal effect. It is active against gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris and Klebsiella pneumoniae, and against gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, including penicillinase-producing strains.

It provides effective local treatment of primary and secondary bacterial skin infections.

Indications:

Dermatoses complicated by infection, or suspected infection, caused by sensitive pathogens, including:

• simple and allergic dermatitis
• atopic dermatitis, including diffuse neurodermatitis
• limited neurodermatitis
• eczema
• dermatomycosis (dermatophytosis, candidiasis, pityriasis versicolor), especially in the groin and large skin folds
• lichen simplex chronicus (limited neurodermatitis)

Storage:

Store at a temperature not higher than 30 °C.

Pack sizes: 15 g and 30 g.

15 g pack: cream in a tube inside a cardboard box.
