Otrivin 0.1% adult nasal drops

Otrivin 0.1% adult nasal drops is a nasal decongestant with xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg/ml. It relieves a blocked nose and is used for colds with rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis and other conditions listed below.

Composition:

Xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg/ml (0.1%).

Excipients: corn starch, magnesium stearate, stabilizers and fillers.

Properties:

Xylometazoline is an alpha-adrenergic agent that narrows the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa. It reduces swelling and redness of the mucosa, lowers excess mucus secretion and drains blocked nasal passages, so breathing through the nose improves.

The effect starts within minutes and lasts up to 12 hours.

It is well tolerated by people with a sensitive nasal mucosa.

Indications:

Acute respiratory infections with rhinitis.

Acute allergic rhinitis.

Pollinosis.

Sinusitis.

Eustachitis.

Otitis media (to reduce swelling of the nasopharyngeal mucosa).

Preparation for diagnostic procedures in the nose, including rhinoscopy.

Storage:

Store below 30°C, in a dry, protected place.
