Properties:

Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) is the most effective tocopherol. In the body it acts as a cellular antioxidant and binds free oxygen radicals.

It takes part in the biosynthesis of heme and proteins and in cell proliferation, and helps prevent hemolysis of red blood cells.

It is needed for the development and function of connective tissue and for strengthening blood vessel walls.

It inhibits lipid peroxidation caused by free radicals, activates phagocytosis, and in large doses prevents platelet aggregation.

Indications:

Conditions associated with free radical pathology, including:

• Cystic fibrosis and arthritic tissue damage
• Chronic cholestasis
• Some hemolytic anemias
• Coronary heart disease
• Atherosclerosis

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, away from light.
