All-Vent syrup

All-Vent is a syrup from Borg Pharmaceutical that combines a mucolytic, an expectorant and a bronchodilator. It is used for productive cough associated with bronchospasm, such as in bronchitis, bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Composition:

Each 5 ml of syrup contains:

• Bromhexine hydrochloride 4 mg
• Terbutaline sulfate 1.25 mg
• Guaifenesin 50 mg
• Menthol 2.5 mg

Properties:

Bromhexine is a mucolytic with expectorant action. It reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions.

Terbutaline sulfate is a beta-adrenergic agonist. It acts mainly on bronchial beta-2 receptors, produces bronchodilation, increases mucociliary clearance and reduces swelling of the bronchial mucosa.

Guaifenesin has expectorant properties. It reduces the surface tension and adhesiveness of sputum, making it easier to clear.

Menthol has a calming effect.

Indications:

Treatment of productive cough associated with bronchospasm in conditions such as:

• bronchitis and bronchial asthma
• chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• bronchiectasis
• emphysema

Storage:

Store in a dry, dark place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
