Amilo 5 mg tablets

Amilo 5 mg is a tablet containing amlodipine besylate, a long-acting calcium channel blocker. It is used to treat high blood pressure, either alone or together with other antihypertensive medicines. It is also used for chronic stable angina, vasospastic angina and coronary artery disease.

Composition:

Each tablet contains:

• Amlodipine besylate 6.9 mg (equivalent to amlodipine 5 mg).

Excipients: starch, cellactose, aerosil, talc and magnesium stearate.

Properties:

Amilo is the besilate salt of amlodipine, a long-acting calcium channel blocker.

Indications:

• Hypertension, alone or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs.
• Chronic stable angina (symptomatic treatment).
• Vasospastic angina, confirmed or suspected.
• Angiographically documented coronary artery disease in patients without heart failure or with ejection fraction of 40% or more.

The drug reduces the risk of hospitalization for angina and the risk of coronary revascularization procedures.

Storage:

Store in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children.

Packaging:

Pack of 30 tablets: a cardboard box containing 2 or 3 blisters of 10 tablets each and a paper leaflet.
