Cholerose Plus 10/10 mg

Cholerose Plus 10/10 mg is a film-coated tablet combining rosuvastatin and ezetimibe, two agents that lower cholesterol by different mechanisms. It is used in adults to lower total cholesterol, LDL ("bad") cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, and to raise HDL ("good") cholesterol. It is used together with a cholesterol-lowering diet.

Composition:

• Each film-coated tablet contains rosuvastatin 10 mg and ezetimibe 10 mg.
• Inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, dicalcium phosphate anhydrous, PVP K30, crospovidone, poloxamer 407, sodium lauryl sulfate, croscarmellose sodium, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.

Properties:

Cholerose Plus combines rosuvastatin, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor that reduces cholesterol production in the liver and increases LDL clearance, with ezetimibe, which blocks cholesterol absorption in the small intestine. Together they lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apolipoprotein B and triglycerides and raise HDL cholesterol more than either agent alone.

Indications:

• As an adjunct to diet to reduce elevated total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol.
• As an adjunct to diet to treat patients with elevated triglyceride levels.
• In patients with heart disease, to reduce the rise of LDL cholesterol to less than 100 mg/dl.
• Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia.

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, in a dry place out of the reach of children.
