Coversyl 5 mg

It is used to treat high blood pressure (arterial hypertension), chronic heart failure and ischemic heart disease.

Composition:

Each film-coated tablet contains:

• Perindopril arginine 5 mg

Excipients: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, sodium glycolate, macrogol.

Properties:

Perindopril is an ACE inhibitor. It reduces the formation of angiotensin II, a vasoconstrictor, and slows the breakdown of bradykinin, a vasodilator.

It lowers vascular resistance and blood pressure. With long-term use it reduces aldosterone secretion and does not cause sodium or fluid retention or reflex tachycardia.

Indications:

• Arterial hypertension
• Chronic heart failure
• Ischemic heart disease (prevention of recurrent cardiovascular events)
