Dapoxtard 60 mg tablets

It is taken only as needed, 1 to 3 hours before expected sexual activity.

Composition:

Each film-coated tablet contains:

• Dapoxetine hydrochloride 60 mg (equivalent to dapoxetine 60 mg)

Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, aerosil, magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol 6000, talc.

Properties:

Dapoxetine is a potent selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It is metabolized in the body to the main metabolites desmethyldapoxetine and didesmethyldapoxetine, which are equally or less active, and dapoxetine-N-oxide.

In premature ejaculation, its effect is linked to inhibition of serotonin reuptake by neurons, which increases the action of the neurotransmitter on pre- and postsynaptic receptors. This increases the latency period before ejaculation.

Indications:

Treatment of premature ejaculation in men aged 18 to 64 years, in patients who meet these criteria:

• intravaginal ejaculation latency time (IELT) less than 2 minutes
• constant or regular ejaculation after minimal sexual stimulation, before, during or shortly after penetration, earlier than the patient wishes
• marked personal distress or difficulties in relationships due to premature ejaculation
• poor control of ejaculation
• premature ejaculation in most sexual attempts over the last 6 months

It should be used only as needed before intended sexual activity. It should not be used to delay ejaculation in men without a confirmed diagnosis of premature ejaculation.

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
