Mucosol Pediatric 125 mg/5 ml syrup

Mucosol Pediatric is a mucolytic syrup for children with carbocysteine 125 mg in every 5 ml. It is used as adjunctive treatment of respiratory diseases with excessive or viscous mucus.

Composition:

Each 5 ml of syrup contains:

• carbocysteine 125 mg

Excipients: methylparaben, propylparaben, sucrose, glycerol, sorbitol 70% solution, tutti-frutti flavouring, sodium hydroxide, purified water. Contains no alcohol.

Properties:

Carbocysteine (S-carboxymethyl-L-cysteine) acts on the mucus of the airways. It changes the nature and amount of the mucus glycoprotein secreted by the respiratory tract. In human studies it reduced hyperplasia of goblet cells, which produce excess mucus.

Indications:

Mucolytic agent for adjunctive therapy of respiratory diseases with excessive or viscous mucus.

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
