Zovirax 5% cream

Zovirax 5% cream contains acyclovir 5%, an antiviral agent. It is used to treat skin infections caused by the herpes simplex virus, including cold sores and initial and recurrent genital herpes.

Composition:

• Acyclovir 5 g per 100 g of cream (5%)
• Excipients: propylene glycol, white soft paraffin, cetostearyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, poloxamer 407, sodium lauryl sulfate, purified water

Properties:

• Acyclovir is an antiviral agent
• Active against herpes simplex virus types I and II and varicella-zoster virus (chickenpox virus)

Indications:

• Treatment of skin infections caused by herpes simplex virus
• Initial and recurrent genital herpes
• Labial herpes (cold sores)

Storage:

• Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C
• Do not freeze
• Keep out of the reach of children
