Allerfen 180 mg tablets

Allerfen 180 mg is a non-sedating antiallergic (antihistamine) containing fexofenadine hydrochloride. It blocks H1 histamine receptors and is used to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis and uncomplicated skin symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Composition:

Each film-coated tablet contains 180 mg of fexofenadine hydrochloride.

Excipients: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, povidone K30, crospovidone, talc, magnesium stearate, pink Opadry.

Properties:

Pharmacological group: antiallergic agent, H1 histamine receptor blocker.

Fexofenadine is the active metabolite of terfenadine. After one or two doses it produces an antihistamine effect starting after about 1 hour, peaking at about 6 hours and lasting 24 hours. It has no sedative effect. No habituation to these effects was seen after 28 days of dosing.

Indications:

Relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis.

Relief of uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives and itching).

Storage:

Store below 30°C, in a dry place, out of the reach of children.

Packaging:

Film-coated tablets 180 mg, in a pack of 20 tablets (blister strips of 10 tablets; 1, 2 or 3 blisters per pack).
