Allerfen 60 mg

Allerfen 60 mg is a non-sedating antihistamine (H1 receptor blocker) containing fexofenadine hydrochloride, made by Amoun Pharmaceutical Co. It is used to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis and uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Composition:

• Each film-coated tablet contains 60 mg fexofenadine hydrochloride.
• Excipients: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, povidone K30, crospovidone, talc, magnesium stearate, pink Opadry.

Properties:

• Pharmacological group: antiallergic agent, H1-histamine receptor blocker.
• Fexofenadine is the active metabolite of terfenadine.
• After single or twice-daily dosing, the antihistamine effect starts within 1 hour, reaches its maximum after 6 hours and lasts 24 hours.
• Non-sedating; no evidence of tolerance after 28 days of dosing.

Indications:

• Relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis.
• Relief of uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Storage:

Store below 30 °C in a dry place, out of reach of children.

Packaging:

• Carton box with 1, 2 or 3 blister strips of 10 film-coated tablets 60 mg (30 tablets per pack).
