Amaryl 3 mg

Amaryl 3 mg is an oral sulfonylurea medicine that lowers blood sugar levels. It contains glimepiride and is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Composition:

Each tablet contains:

• Glimepiride 3 mg

Excipients: lactose monohydrate, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone (K25), yellow iron oxide.

Properties:

Amaryl is an oral medicine that lowers blood sugar. It belongs to the sulfonylurea derivatives group. It increases the amount of insulin released from the pancreas, and the insulin then lowers blood sugar levels.

Indications:

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise and weight loss alone cannot control blood sugar levels.

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C in the original packaging, out of reach of children.
