Amaryl M 2/500 mg tablets

It is taken with diet and exercise to lower blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when glimepiride or metformin alone does not control glucose levels.

Composition:

Each film-coated tablet contains:

• Glimepiride 2 mg
• Metformin hydrochloride 500 mg

Excipients: lactose, sodium starch glycolate, povidone K30, microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, macrogol 6000, titanium dioxide, wax.

Properties:

Amaryl M is a combination medicine taken by mouth to lower blood sugar levels. It combines a sulfonylurea (glimepiride) and a biguanide (metformin).

Indications:

• Adjunct to diet and exercise for type 2 diabetes mellitus, when glimepiride or metformin alone does not control blood glucose levels.
• Not for type 1 diabetes.

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, out of reach of children.

Pack of 30 film-coated tablets.
