Eucarbon herbal tablets

Eucarbon is a herbal combination tablet with activated charcoal, senna, rhubarb and purified sulphur, made by Sedico in Egypt under licence from Trenka. It is used to regulate bowel function, to relieve flatulence and to prepare for medical examinations.

Composition:

Each tablet contains:

• senna leaf extract 105 mg
• rhubarb extract 25 mg
• purified sulphur 50 mg
• activated charcoal 180 mg
• peppermint oil and fennel oil (essential oils)

Excipients: lactose monohydrate, sucrose, starch, talc, kaolin.

Properties:

Eucarbon is a combined herbal product that helps regulate bowel function.

Activated charcoal adsorbs intestinal gases, toxins and breakdown products.

Senna leaves and rhubarb extract stimulate bowel movement and have a mild laxative and disinfectant effect. Their anthraquinone derivatives are released in the small intestine, stimulate colon motility and reduce water absorption in the colon. Bowel movement occurs 6-10 hours after intake.

Peppermint and fennel essential oils have an antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory effect.

Purified sulphur has a mild disinfectant effect against putrefactive processes caused by pathogenic bacteria.

Overall, the product helps prevent re-absorption of harmful digestive by-products, reduces gas formation and has a mild laxative effect.

Indications:

• regulation and restoration of digestive function after surgery, especially intestinal operations
• digestive disorders in pregnancy and in the early postpartum period
• preparation for X-ray, ultrasound and other examinations (bowel cleansing, relief of bloating)

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
