Kenacomb cream

It is used for superficial skin conditions that respond to corticosteroids and for those secondarily infected with bacteria or fungi.

Composition:

Each gram of cream contains:

• Nystatin 1,000,000 IU
• Neomycin sulfate 2.5 mg
• Gramicidin 0.25 mg
• Triamcinolone acetonide 1 mg

Excipients: aluminium hydroxide, BZI 108, cetyl alcohol, glyceryl monostearate, lavender oil, liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, purified water, simethicone, sodium metabisulfite, sodium hydroxide, sorbitol, titanium dioxide, Tween 40, Tween 60.

Properties:

Combined preparation with antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory action for external use.

• Triamcinolone acetonide is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effects.
• Gramicidin is an antibiotic for external use, active against Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp. and some anaerobic bacteria.
• Neomycin sulfate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic with broad action, active against Staphylococcus spp., Enterococcus spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp. and Escherichia coli.
• Nystatin is a polyene antifungal that binds sterols in fungal cell membranes, disrupting permeability. It is active against Candida albicans.

Indications:

Superficial dermatoses sensitive to corticosteroid treatment, including those secondarily infected with bacteria or fungi:

• atopic dermatitis
• seborrheic dermatitis
• lichen
• psoriasis
• allergic contact dermatitis

The cream can be applied to weeping surfaces and diaper rash.

Storage:

Store at a temperature not higher than 25 °C.

Packaging:

Tubes of 15 g or 30 g in a cardboard box with the leaflet.
