Nexium 40 mg tablets

They are used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, erosive oesophagitis, peptic ulcers and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and to prevent ulcers linked to NSAID use.

Composition:

Each tablet contains:

• Esomeprazole 40 mg

Properties:

Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. It is the S-isomer of omeprazole and reduces gastric acid secretion.

Indications:

• Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) treatment
• Short-term treatment (4 to 8 weeks) of erosive oesophagitis and GERD symptoms such as heartburn
• Maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence of erosive oesophagitis, for no more than 6 months
• Treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection and duodenal ulcer, in combination with antibiotics
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
• Healing of gastric ulcers and prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers in patients on long-term NSAID therapy

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Protect from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

• The cardboard box contains 1, 2 or 4 blisters of 7 tablets each, with a paper leaflet.
