Composition:
- Acyclovir 400 mg in each tablet.
- Excipients: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K30, sodium starch glycolate.
Properties:
Acivirax is an antiviral agent. It acts against herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2 and varicella-zoster virus.
Indications:
- Treatment of herpes simplex virus infections of the skin and mucous membranes, including initial and recurrent genital herpes (excluding severe HSV infections in immunocompromised children).
- Suppression of recurrent herpes simplex infections in immunocompetent patients (prevention of recurrences).
- Prophylaxis of herpes simplex infections in immunocompromised patients.
- Treatment of varicella (chickenpox).
- Treatment of herpes zoster (shingles).
Storage:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
Packaging:
Pack of 30 tablets: a carton box containing 3 blisters with 10 tablets each, and an insert leaflet.
